YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED
Frequently Asked Questions.
Clarity builds confidence. Below are honest answers to the most common questions about how I work from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.
General Questions.
-
Reach out, by phone, email, or the contact form. I'll get back to you directly. From there we'll set up an in-person meeting, ideally on your land, and go from there.
-
I work primarily in Adams and Valley County, Idaho. If you're outside that area, reach out anyway, depending on the project and the fit, I'm open to the conversation.
-
Yes, I manage the permitting process so you don't have to navigate it alone. That said, I keep you informed and involved every step of the way. It's your project and you should always know where things stand with the county.
Process Questions.
-
We start by getting aligned on your vision, budget, and timeline. From there I bring in the right architect, engineer, and subcontractors for your specific build. Before a single nail goes in, you'll have a clear scope of work and a budget you've signed off on. No surprises.
-
As often as needed, daily if that's what the project calls for, weekly at a minimum. You can call or text me directly at any stage.
-
Absolutely. It's your home, you should see it being built. I just ask that you give me a heads up so I can make sure the site is safe and I'm there to walk you through what you're looking at.
Budget & Investment Questions.
-
Every build is different - site conditions, materials, square footage, and finish level all play a role. What I can tell you is that I'll give you a thorough upfront budget before anything starts, and I'll keep you informed throughout so nothing catches you off guard.
-
I flag issues immediately, never after the fact. You'll get an honest overall budget at the start, and if conditions change mid-build, we talk through options before anything moves forward. If you choose to make a change, we discuss the cost first. I won't spend beyond the agreed scope without your sign-off.
-
I don't offer financing directly, but I'm happy to work alongside your lender and provide whatever documentation they need. If you're not sure where to start, I can point you toward resources that have worked for other clients.
Design & Customization Questions.
-
Yes, and I'd encourage it. If you already have a relationship with an architect or a set of plans you love, I'll work with them. My job is to execute your vision, not push you toward mine. The more clarity we have going in, the better the build goes.
-
Changes happen, I get it. What I ask is that any change goes through me directly so we can assess the impact on timeline and cost before it's implemented. I'll never tell you no without giving you the full picture of what a yes would mean.
Quality & Warranty Questions.
-
I offer a minimum two-year warranty on my work. But honestly, my word means more to me than any paperwork. If something isn't right after the job is done, I'll come back and fix it. Stuff happens in construction what matters is how you handle it when it does.
-
Carefully. I personally vet every trade I bring onto a project, I wouldn't add someone to the build team without doing my due diligence, which means seeing their work firsthand. These are people I trust with your home, and I take that seriously.
